The Breville Ikon Blender features the Hemisphere Bowl/Blade System that utilizes a large stainless steel chopping blade and a large shredding blade to hug the uniquely shaped hemisphere bowl. Because of this design, there are no still zones around the blades and ingredients are shredded into fine, consistent particles every time. The 54 ounce (1.6 liter) engineering grade Borosilicate glass jar is designed for clarity and to resist chipping and fogginess. The control pad features a back lit timer that functions as a count up timer during the 5 speed cycles and pulse function and counts down during the 2 programs for ice crushing and smoothies.

Cons : Leaks, leaks, leaks.
Review : There's not much more to say. This blender's design is defective, in that it leaks copiously.&
The Bottom Line : It looks nice, stands up to ice, and makes a huge mess because it leaks. Avoid.

Pros : Looks sleek. Thick glass container. Nicely designed plug. Shuts off automatically at end of cycle.
Cons : LEAKS EASILY!!! I think pulse loosens seal if not on very tightly. Walks on counter.

Pros : The sleek stainless steel looks was a plus. Very modern compared to old fashined blenders.
Cons : Too expensive, creates air pockets. I had to turn on/off the machine to push.
