Pros : creates a smooth surface onto which to apply foundation
Cons : doesn't make my makeup last longer than otherwise does
Review : I had heard about foundation primers, but hadn't used one myself until a friend gave me a tube of La
The Bottom Line : If you want to smoothe your skin out before applying foundation, this is good - but expensive!

Pros : great pre-makeup step: simple. no tints, crazy ingredients, or perfume
Cons : a bit expensive, but i haven't found anything better for less $
Review : before i tried it, i heard a lot about primers and specifically, accolades for the laura mercier one
The Bottom Line : you might not have to wear primer if you have great skin, but i need it and found LC's to be the best for the price
